Our easy and accessible loop hike starts from the picturesque Lago Racollo (1573 m) and winds through the pristine landscapes and peaceful silence of the Campo Imperatore plateau. Along the way, we will reach the historic Grangia di Santa Maria del Monte, a place full of charm and spirituality, where we can admire a spectacular sunset painting the majestic Gran Sasso peaks in shades of orange and gold. As evening falls, we will return to Lago Racollo for a truly special night: a guided astronomical observation using state-of-the-art professional telescopes. Thanks to the technology and expertise of our astronomy guide, we will explore live some of the brightest galaxies, nebulae, and stars visible at this time of year, uncovering the secrets and wonders of the night sky in one of Italy’s clearest locations. This is the perfect opportunity to connect with the universe, enjoy breathtaking views, and experience deep emotions under the starry sky.
