We find ourselves in the enchanting landscape of Abruzzo, starting from L'Aquila on an exciting bike tour that will take us to the highest peak of the Central Apennines, the Gran Sasso. We will cross the majestic beauty of Campo Imperatore and visit the picturesque historic villages of Castel del Monte, Rocca Calascio, and Santo Stefano di Sessanio. The route will also take us through renowned wine-producing areas, including Ofena, before tackling the climb to the peaks of Passolanciano and Mammarosa/Blockhaus, the second Apennine summit of our itinerary. The tour will continue through charming medieval villages, offering us an authentic experience of Abruzzo's identity with every pedal.
