At 09:15, we meet at Piazzale Valle delle Gravare, where the Sci Club bus will drop us off, ready to begin our adventure. After a short ride by cable car, we start our journey with snowshoes on, following a wide loop that takes us through plateaus and peaks of the Monti Marsicani, the highest mountain range in the area. Along the way, the landscape opens up, offering views of the Central Apennines and the barren plateaus to the south of Monte Greco's summit. The trail leads us into the heart of the Abruzzo, Lazio, and Molise National Park, where we can easily spot chamois in the nearby Valle di Rose, right in front of us. Surrounded by wild and untouched landscapes, Monte Greco offers a direct experience with the mountain and the Abruzzese winter. At the end of the excursion, we will return to the starting point to conclude the day.

Travel Tour Overview
After a short ride up by cable car, we set off on an adventure among the snow-covered peaks of Monte Greco, with snowshoes strapped on. This wide, scenic loop takes us through vast plains and the majestic peaks of the tallest range within the Monti Marsicani. The views that open up across the central Apennines and the wild, untouched plains stretching south of the summit are truly impressive. This snowshoe trek leads us into the heart of the Abruzzo, Lazio, and Molise National Park, where it’s easy to spot chamois in the Rose Valley, which lies right before us. Monte Greco, surrounded by the Park’s mountains, offers landscapes that stand out for their beauty and authenticity.
