The meeting point is at 09:45 at Rifugio Heidi, the starting point for our winter snowshoe hike in Valle Fredda. After a short cable car ride, we will begin our snowshoe adventure. We will follow the ancient Celano–Foggia trail, stopping at the Tre Fontane spring, a traditional resting point for shepherds. Next, we will explore the rock-hewn church of Madonna del Carmine and the Macerete and La Ria shepherds’ huts, then descend to the Imposto pass and enjoy the spectacular view of Montagna Spaccata. The hike concludes with a forest loop and a visit to the medieval church of Madonna del Casale. A perfect experience for anyone wanting to explore the Abruzzo mountains in winter, surrounded by nature, history, and snow.

Travel Tour Overview
