Trip Itinerary

More information regarding the time and meeting point for the first/last day will be provided after the booking.

Your journey begins in the historic town of Sarria, in the province of Lugo. Spend the day exploring its charming streets, discovering historical landmarks, and immersing yourself in the welcoming atmosphere that makes Sarria an ideal destination for pilgrims. Stroll through the town center, relax on a terrace, and prepare for the adventure that awaits you the following day. Free dinner and overnight stay.

We begin first stage of the French Way, from Sarria to Portomarín, an easy and accessible route for everyone. You’ll walk through rivers and forests, passing small villages and churches, with plenty of opportunities to stop and have a drink. This stage is considered one of the most beautiful on the Camino. Upon arriving in Portomarín, a charming village on the banks of the Miño River, you’ll find white houses with slate roofs and a unique atmosphere. Relax and enjoy your well-deserved rest before discovering the secret hidden beneath the waters of the reservoir. Free dinner and overnight stay.

Km Stage: 22

Today, you will leave Portomarín and head towards Palas de Rei, a 25-kilometer route that alternates between flat stretches and ascents. Along the way, you will pass the site of Castromaior, an ancient Galician settlement that provides an interesting glimpse into the region's history. Once you arrive in Palas de Rei, you will have the opportunity to visit archaeological remains such as dolmens, mámoas, and castros, which tell the story of the megalithic culture of this land. A stage that will allow you to discover both the history and beauty of Galicia. Free dinner and overnight stay.

Km Stage: 25

This is the longest stage of the Camino Francés in Galicia, with 29 kilometers to cover. The route, which takes you through dirt roads, forests, and medieval bridges, is one of the most scenic in the region. During the journey, a stop in Melide is a must, as it is famous for its Galician octopus; you can taste this delicacy in one of its many pulperías. After taking a break, you'll continue with ease to Arzúa, where you'll have the rest of the day to relax. Don't miss the chance to try the local Arzúa-Ulloa cheese, accompanied by other regional specialties. Free dinner and overnight stay.

Km Stage: 29

Today you will tackle the penultimate stage of your journey, a route of about 20 kilometers on flat and easy terrain. Along the way, you will have the chance to stop at various bars and restaurants to take a break and enjoy some local dishes. Upon arrival in O Pedrouzo, you will have plenty of time to relax and prepare for the final day of walking towards Santiago. The day ends with a peaceful stroll through the village, where you can rest before the last stage. Free dinner and overnight stay.

Km Stage: 19

Today is the final stage of your journey. Start early to reach Santiago de Compostela at a relaxed pace, giving you time to explore the city. During the walk, you will reach Monte do Gozo, where you will get your first glimpse of the Santiago Cathedral. After enjoying this view, you will continue the final kilometers, entering triumphantly into the Plaza del Obradoiro. Once in Santiago, you can collect your Compostela Certificate and take time to explore the city, discovering its monuments and rich history. Free dinner and overnight stay.

Km Stage: 19

On the last day of the tour, you can choose to return home or spend an additional day in Santiago. End of services.

Travel Tour Overview

This tour offers a complete and authentic Camino de Santiago experience by covering the final 110 kilometres of the French Way from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela, the minimum distance required to obtain the Compostela certificate. It is designed for travellers who have limited time but still wish to fully immerse themselves in the spirit of the pilgrimage, surrounded by a rural, natural and historically rich environment.

The walk unfolds through the characteristic landscapes of Galicia, crossing chestnut and oak forests, green meadows, rivers and small villages, and passing countless religious and cultural landmarks such as churches, chapels, stone crosses and traditional hórreos that accompany pilgrims throughout the journey.

The package includes 7 days and 6 nights of accommodation in carefully selected superior-category hotels and guesthouses, chosen to ensure comfort and proper rest after each walking day. All accommodations provide private en-suite bathrooms and offer facilities designed for pilgrims’ comfort, such as communal areas, gardens or terraces, and in many cases restaurants, lifts and swimming pools. Rooms are available as single, double, twin or triple, depending on individual needs.

To make the journey lighter and more enjoyable, daily luggage transfer from one stage to the next is included, allowing pilgrims to walk carrying only what they need for the day. The tour also includes complete Camino documentation, the official Pilgrim’s Credential, essential for obtaining the Compostela certificate, 24-hour emergency telephone assistance during the trip, and travel insurance.

Meals are not included in the base price and may be added as an optional service. Personal expenses, drinks and any services not explicitly stated as included are also excluded. Additional optional services are available upon request, such as a single-room supplement, extra nights in Santiago de Compostela, and transfers from or to airports, as well as transfers between Santiago and Sarria.

The tour ends in Santiago de Compostela, where pilgrims can collect their Compostela certificate and spend time exploring the city. Travellers may return home or extend their stay in Santiago, and it is also possible to continue the journey on foot to Finisterre, an extension not included in the standard package.
