Welcome to Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire! Upon arrival, we will meet at the hotel to kick off the tour, with the bike assembly and a presentation of the itinerary. The evening will continue with a welcome dinner, during which we will have the opportunity to get to know the group better and discuss the stages of our journey. Overnight stay in a hotel in Cusco.
The day is dedicated to acclimatization to the altitude. After a hearty breakfast, we will have the opportunity to join, for those interested, a guided excursion to visit the main historical and archaeological sites of Cusco, including Sacsayhuamán, Q'enqo, and Tambomachay. Throughout the day, supplies of fruit and snacks will be provided to keep energy levels high. The rest of the day will be free to further explore the city and its surroundings. Overnight stay in a hotel in Cusco.
After a short transfer, we will begin cycling along a scenic dirt road that will take us to the picturesque village of Maras. From here, we will climb to the archaeological site of Moray, famous for its circular Inca terraces used for agricultural experimentation. After a spectacular descent, we will reach Ollantaitambo, where we will visit its impressive Inca fortress. Lunch will be provided during the excursion. The evening will continue with dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.
We begin the day with a good breakfast. Today we will explore the Andean village of Huilloc, known for its traditional fabrics made using ancestral techniques. We will continue to the pre-Inca ruins of Pumamarca, from where we will begin a breathtaking descent through the site of Choquebamba, with spectacular views. Throughout the day, we will have fruit and snack supplies, and there will be the opportunity to have lunch in small local inns along the way. Dinner will be free, allowing you to choose where to dine in Ollantaitambo. Overnight stay at the accommodation.
After breakfast, we will take a short transfer to the Abra Malaga pass, where we will begin an exhilarating downhill ride on asphalt. We will reach the village of Santa Maria and then follow a trail along the Santa Teresa River, enjoying spectacular views before arriving at our accommodation. Throughout the day, fruit and energy snacks will be available to keep our energy levels high. Dinner will be served, followed by an overnight stay in accommodation.
Wake-up call at dawn to reach the starting point of our trek. We will walk along an old abandoned railway, following the Urubamba River, before taking a steep stone path leading us to the legendary city of Machu Picchu. Here, surrounded by mist and breathtaking landscapes, we will have time to explore the site and, if possible, hike up to the summit of Wayna Picchu for a unique panoramic view. Afterwards, we will descend to Aguas Calientes to catch the train to Ollantaytambo and then transfer to Pisac. Dinner will be served, followed by an overnight stay in accommodation in Pisac
Our final day of cycling will take us through the stunning Sacred Valley of the Incas, offering breathtaking views and the chance to visit local artisan markets. Along the way, we will explore important archaeological sites, including Sacsayhuamán. In the early afternoon, we will return to Cusco, where we’ll have free time to further explore the city. The day will conclude with a special farewell dinner, a perfect moment to share and celebrate the unforgettable experience. End of tour services, with accommodation provided for those departing the following day.
