Admire the Cava Grande canyon, one of the deepest in Europe at about 300 meters deep, and the panorama of the valley between rocky surfaces and the Cassibile River. After a hike in the canyon and a refreshing swim in one of the pools, resume the cycling route towards the coast, passing through the charming town of Avola. Continue north with a stop at the Gelsomineto Pine Forest and visit the mouth of the Ciane River, known for its wild papyrus. Arrive in Syracuse, one of the most historic cities in Sicily and the ancient capital of Magna Graecia. We will retrace the iconic locations of Italy’s most beloved Inspector: from the famous house in Marinella (Punta Secca) to the “Montelusa Police Headquarters”, housed in the town hall of Scicli, all the way to the views of Ragusa Ibla, a natural set for Salvo Montalbano’s walks and reflections.

Here we will breathe the atmosphere of The Star Maker by Tornatore and The House by the Medlar Tree, cycling among ancient fishermen’s houses that have preserved their untouched charm.
• Oscar-winning sets: We will cross the scenic squares of Noto and Syracuse, where Monica Bellucci’s beauty in Malèna became legendary, and where recent international productions such as Cyrano and The White Lotus 2 found their ideal setting. We will also relive the poetic emotions of Cinema Paradiso and the spirit of freedom of Mediterraneo, Salvatores’ masterpiece.
